Church office: (231) 947-7645 Email: colgtc@gmail.com Blood Drives: CLG hosts blood drives approximately six times a year for Michigan Community Blood Centers, an independent blood bank that provides 100 percent of the blood supply for hospitals in a 7-county area of Northwest Michigan. Transformation Traverse City: Weekly intercessory prayer for our community, Wednesdays from 7:30-8:30am at the Traverse City Country Club, 1725 S. CLG Youth outreaches: CLG youth are learning to be the hands and feet of Jesus by serving those in need in our community and around the nation. In previous years the youth have participated in service projects for needy families, the homeless and elderly at JPUSA (Jesus People USA) in Uptown Chicago (http://www.jpusa.org), doing home improvement for needy families. Locally, they have worked with Goodwill and House of Hope’s “Hope Chest” (resale shop), among others. This summer, the youth group’s focus will be working in the area with Goodwill on a variety of service projects. For more info, click on link to the Youth ministry page. GriefShare: Church of the Living God is part of the Traverse City area GriefShare Community, four local churches who have coordinated the times that they offer the GriefShare program throughout the year. Click on GriefShare for more info or to find a group currently meeting in the area. HIV/AIDS Community: CLG is always looking for ways to show Christ’s love to those affected by HIV & AIDS in the Grand Traverse area and northern Michigan. Narcotics Anonymous: CLG is very supportive of all who are in recovery and opens its doors to give groups like Narcotics Anonymous (NA) a place to meet. There is also a strong community of people in recovery in our church family who can answer your questions and walk alongside you as you work on your own recovery. Project Safe Harbor: A group of churches in the area opening their doors to house those in need of shelter during the cold winter months, supplying food, fellowship and a warm place to sleep. Vital Signs: Vital Signs is a lay ministry whose purpose is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ, modeling His compassion and heart for those who struggle with same-sex attractions while offering the hope of genuine change.
