Missions Abroad
Discovering our destiny by touching others with the love of Christ
Church of the Living God is a church with a heart for missions. Since our first trip in 1988, CLG has sponsored over 100 trips to more than a dozen different countries. Hundreds of people from CLG have discovered that giving and serving others through missions is to “take hold of life that is truly life.” It has been through short-term mission trips that many have discovered their destiny in Christ and have come alive in the gifts God has given them.

Haiti
Pastor Jean & Marcia Petit-Frere
We met Jean in Jamaica in 1991 when he was a student at Christ for the Nations. Jean and Marcia now pastor a fast-growing church of over 1000 believers in Carrefour, Haiti, committed to training leaders, and breaking the cycle of poverty through education and the establishment of small businesses. The church operates two schools, providing education and a nutritious daily meal to over 600 children. We have partnered together to produce five quality praise and worship CDs that have had a far-reaching impact on their nation. The praise and worship on these CDs is broadcast nation-wide on Haitian radio.

Jamaica
Jerry & Renee Winkler
We first met Jerry and Renee in Jamaica in 1995 on our very first mission’s trip. They have always had a heart to love and care for the children in Jamaica. They began with just a few orphans off the streets in the 90s and now operate a school of over 150 students. They provide a loving and nurturing environment for children who would otherwise be neglected and abused.
